Opportunities to Serve at Grace in Action, Inc.

Grace in Action Ministry Training

Training for new volunteer Ministers of Hospitality will be offered on Tuesday July 8, 2008 from 7-8 p.m. at Grace House, 441 D Street.  For more information and to download the Minister of Hospitality application, please check our web site at www.Grace-In-Action.org.  You may also contact Lisa Yamauchi, Hospitality Coordinator at HospitalityMinister@Grace-in-Action.org

Current Needs:  Men's travel size deodorant, Kleenex pocket packs, large cans of chili, soups and stews and paper towels. Donations are very much needed and appreciated.

Changes in Clothing Donation Program:
We are no longer accepting miscellaneous bags of clothing.  If you are looking for a home for your donated clothing, please ask that your donation be put on consignment for Grace in Action at Right & Relevant (1720 E. Eighth St.).  Consignment hours are Tues., Thurs. and Sat. 2-5:30 pm.   Funds from this consignment account will allow our homeless guests to purchase needed clothing or shoes for a job interview or special occasion.

Hours:  M-F 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

University Covenant Church
315 Mace Blvd.
Hours:  M-F 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.


Volunteer Help

                              

If you would prefer to donate your time and energy, volunteers 18 years and older are always needed.
There are MANY ways to serve:

Grant Proposal and Funding Resource Seeking

Assist in the preparation of lunches or donate food gift certificates.

Public relations and outreach.

Become an assigned "Agent of Grace" to help a specific homeless guest.

Monitor the donation box at your church.

Assist with special projects or fundraisers.

Serve as a board or volunteer staff member.

Assist with office and errand tasks.
